A picture of a stock, virgin coil pack. |

This is where I relocated my coil pack to. I got this idea from seeing AWDkitkat's car (on DSMTalk & DSMTuners). Why did I end up doing this? 1. The plug wires are much easier to deal with. 2. The Buschur/SX afpr I have gives me no room at all for the #4 cylinder plug wire (Magnacore 8.5mm) 3. It looks cooler ;) |

This is where we will need to cut the motor mount in order for the coil pack to install onto properly. |

Here's a better pic from directly above the motor mount. Make a cut at roughly this angle straight down. The reason this must be done is because the bracket holding the 2 coils together will hit this part of the motor mount and not allow the bolt to line up through the bracket and motor mount. |

The red lines show where we will have to cut the stock coil pack bracket. The upper piece with the plug on needs to be cut because it will hit the cam gear cover and not fit properly if it's not cut. The red circle shows the bolt hole which needs to be slightly enlarged to accept the 14mm head motor mount bolt to go through. Unclip the 3 or 4 wire plug from the upper bracket (need thin screwdriver to depress clip holding it on) before you cut it off. Be careful, don't cut any wires! |
| So basically what you need to do is pull the motor mount
to do it's trimming. This is fairly easy and should require 12mm, 14mm and
17mm tools as well as a hammer or screw driver (sometimes needed to pull
out bolt attached to car frame)
For cutting, use a cut-off wheel or hacksaw or any other cutting tool of your preference. As said before, be careful of cutting into any wires or the coil packs themselves. | |

Here's what the finished Job looks like on AWDkitkat's car. I will try to get pictures of this installed on my own car as well. |

Yet another better angle. I ran my wired underneath my afpr and then around to the side however. |
